"28 Years Experience Grooming Pet and Show Dogs"
Formerly of Veterniary Medical Center "VMC" Alpharetta
I have been dedicated to working with dogs and grooming dogs my whole life. Grooming competitions, dog grooming, breeding and training show dogs, studying food allergies, nutrition and genetics and how they relate to coat quality name a few of the areas where I have the most experience.
I started grooming pet dogs, like my daughter at a very young age. When I moved to Roswell in 1993, I started working at Roswell Pet Supply as their dog groomer and later moved to Veterinary Medical Center in Alpharetta.
After groming pets at "VMC" for 13 years I decided to find a way to further pursue my love for working with dogs in a place that I feel is an excellent fit for both myself and my daughter Sam. What a wonderful feeling it is to have a great daughter to share my true love of dogs with.
With that being said, all breed dog grooming brings a difficult skill set that is much more than a bath, a hair cut or a quick run through with a furminator. With 230 something different purebred dog breeds, there comes a different grooming style for each and different fur types to work with. Hand Strip here, scissor there, thin here and shape there, it takes a lot that most are not willing to do or know to do, to get it right. Learning this takes years of will and dedication to perfect.
While being a pure breed specialist, it makes me smile to shake off the serious side and work with a cute little mix breed. I just love them!!!
"17 Years Experience Grooming Pet and Show Dogs"
Being an all breed show dog groomer is something that takes years of dedication to prefect. Lots of styles, specific patterns and techniques to be used corectly. That cannot be learned from books it takes hands on time with the right people working with you. My experience is credited to my mom and the others that have taken the time to help me perfect my skills.
My history in dog grooming brings 17 years of experience on all levels. I first started working, with my mom's friend Rick Day of Risgae Bichons, at the age of 8. Back then Rick was a well known breeder of many years. Currently he holds the title of being the most accomplished breeder of Bichons in the country with more than 170 finished champions.
As I got older, I went out into the dog show circuit to work with all breeds for several years. After learning from the best in the world and working with the top dogs in the world, I decided to settle into what I enjoy doing best. Working with family pets.
